WARGAMING

I’ve been a wargamer for most of my life, it’s a strange hobby enjoyed by odd people who share an interest in history and the craft of painting miniature figures, creating terrain and fighting it out on the tabletop. I’ve been a member of the Trumpeter Club, off and on, since 1974. It takes a little while to explain to the uninitiated, which is why I drew a mini-comic about it, Confessions of a Tabletop General. I currently play mostly hardcore historical land combat, I have figures for “Darkest Africa” (28MM), a huge Napoleonic Prussian Corps (15MM), American, Anglo-Canadian and First nations of the War of 1812 (15MM) and about a dozen Bloodbowl teams (28MM) just for laughs. I am working on the French and Indian War (28MM), Samurai (15MM) and a Russian Army of the Seven years War (15MM). I paint figures for hire, contact me.

Darkest Africa

My “Darkest Africa” (Central/East Africa in the late 19th Centaury) figures, from the top… Zanzibarian slavers Arabs/Swahili, Azande cannibals, Masia Moran, pygmies and Nagoni Warriors, generic African tribesman and at the bottom, European explorers and Imperial forces, Belgian and British.

Napoleonic

The 15MM Napoleonic figures, the three top shelves are an entire corps of Prussians, including Line, Reserve, Volunteer Jager, Landwher, Friekorps and a unit of Guard Jagers. I’m planning to expand the Guards sometime! On the fourth shelf down are my British, Canadian and First Nations figures for the War of 1812, on the bottom shelf are the Americans and their First Nations allies.
